This course is for mature students who want to go into nursing. You will look at the following study areas: human biology, prevention of infection, contemporary issues, special needs and support services, mental health issues, stress and stress management and much more. How do I get a place? You do not need formal qualifications to apply for this course, but you will have to demonstrate a mature attitude and a keen interest in nursing. You might have some previous care experience, although this is not essential. All applicants to this course are interviewed jointly by Jewel & Esk and Napier University staff before acceptance to the course.
