Midwives have a unique role working with women and their families. Midwifery relationships facilitate not only the physiological processes of pregnancy, giving birth and the initiation of the early mother baby relationship; but also the growth and development of each woman preparing her for her role as a parent.This course reflects the requirements of the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and the NHS for the preparation of contemporary practitioners. The structure comprises 50 per cent theory and 50 per cent clinical practice.
