The CPE, or Common Professional Examination, is the route by which non-law graduates may complete the academic stage of training to become solicitors and barristers.Holders of this award are eligible (subject to professional body requirements) to proceed to the vocational stage of training - the Legal Practice Course for would-be solicitors, and the Bar Vocational Course for would-be barristers.
